How things are made in the future

Earlier this year Carl Bass, CEO of Autodesk, gave a presentation during the 2014 Solid Conference. He shared some of the new technologies in hardware and software he thinks will change the way how things are made in the future. The presentation is of course promoting his own products, but he shows some interesting things. The first halve he talks about hardware, the second halve about software. It is definitely worth watching the final few minutes, when he shows what can happen when software is able to generate a lot of models when entering some design restraints. To conclude his presentation he shows what a plane could look like if you can use these new techniques to manufacture it.
